Steps to Register at the AfA/Job Center

  1. Create an online account

  2. Register as job-seeking

  3. Register as unemployed

  4. Book an appointment with an agent

💡 If online booking isn’t available or no slots are open, follow the steps below

For German speakers:

  • Call your local agency directly (Google your local branch) or contact the service hotline: +49 800 4555500

  • Identify yourself, complete the registration, and request an appointment over the phone.

For Non-German speakers:

  • Visit your local AfA/Job Center branch in person.

  • Register as unemployed and request an appointment to discuss your situation.

Being registered is the first step toward accessing job-seeker support and financial assistance programs, including the Bildungsgutschein.
