The Bildungsgutschein is a government-funded training voucher provided by the Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter to help individuals gain new skills and improve their employment prospects.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for a Bildungsgutschein, you must meet the following criteria:
You must be an EU, EEA, or Swiss citizen or hold a valid residence and work permit for Germany.
You must have contributed to German compulsory insurance for at least 12 months within the last 30 months before becoming unemployed.
You must have worked in taxable employment in Germany for 12 months within the last 30 months (mini-jobs under €520 are excluded).
✅ Employment from 2020-2022 counts toward a 2023 application.
❌ Work from 2016-2018 does not qualify.
