The AVGS (Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein) is an unemployment benefit as well provided by the German Employment Agency (Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter) to help unemployed individuals or job seekers improve their chances of finding a job. It covers the cost of career coaching, job placement services, and training programs to increase employability.

In simple terms, it works similarly to the Bildungsgutschein: It allows you to participate in qualifying programs with the German state covering the cost, without any payback conditions.

If you apply for our Orientation Course, the required voucher is the AVGS, which allows you to participate at no personal cost. The application process is the same as for the Bildungsgutschein.
